A Celebration of Life with our friends and love ones!

On May 1, a Friday and holiday (Labor's Day), we decided to have a joint birthday celebration with my son Jed... at the same time THANKSGIVING for a blessed and healthy year at Brod Louie's Place in Gumasa. We rented a big jeep for P3,000 (Gensan to Gumasa and vice versa) where we put our catering stuffs and relatives from Marbel. We booked the dormitory for Px,xxx (with discount... courtesy of the owner with Rey's and Martha's connection - thanks!). For what I heard, you can rent a P500 open cottage and you are freed for the entrance fee... you can also sleep there) .

Budget Trip to Gumasa (June 2, 2008)

Our bakasyonistas from Makati (Clint), Surallah (Geebee, Bantot), Koronadal City (Pags) and Davao City (Janu) together with Kim and my son, Jed wanted to go to the beach to end their summer vacation here in General Santos City. The options were: (1) Tuka Beach in Kiamba or (2) White sand beaches in Gumasa. Because of the limited information of the Tuka Beach, we finalized our trip to Gumasa.

How to go there...

From General Satos City Airport to Glan Terminal at KCC Mall is P300. Trasport time interval is from 15-30 minutes.

Passenger Van: Regular Fare - P 70 per head (as of June 7, 2008), rent the whole van to shuttle P 1,500 (you can bargain it up to P1,250... contact van driver at 0909-465-3235 and you will be shuttle up to the beach resort you want). The van capacity is 18 passengers. The terminal ususally operates from 6AM to 6PM inGeneral Santos City and in Glan, Sarangani Province. Travel time is 40 minutes. Glan Terminal

From Glan Terminal, the alternative ride going to the resort is by riding a motorbike (P30 per head a with a capacity of two persons) or a tricycle (P30 per head with a capacity of three persons... contact this tricycle driver at 0905-839-3589 for info on road conditions and possible booking...). Thanks to Padz Toto Toledo for fetching us in the terminal!
